One of the most visited areas of the park, you can drive through, take photos, hike paths and visit the information centers for history and gifts.

From the main Parkway in Townsend, follow the sign to the National Park. The road will end and you will turn right to head to the cove.

For those who love to travel by bike the Townsend Bicycle Trail is the perfect way to get around during your summer stay in Townsend. The trail runs parallel to Hwy US 321 in Townsend, with road signs denoting beginning and end. Along the trail you will find shops, restaurants, grocery stores, hotels and the Townsend Visitors Center. A nice underground tunnel keeps you safe if you do not wish to cross the road.
