Your Smoky Mountains holiday vacation wouldn’t be complete without visiting some of the wonderful communities that are close to the Smokies.
Townsend,TN known as the peaceful side of the Smokies, is a quaint little gem of a town, with the most friendly people and beautiful views. If you are planning to stay the night in Townsend, a great choice would be the Highland Manor Inn. A charming hotel with a family feel. The grounds are well, kept, beautiful views, a complimentary breakfast and all within a few minutes from the Smoky Mountains.

Wears Valley is a must visit as well. Shops and restaurants located throughout make this a wonderful place to spend the day. A quiet farming town situated deep within the Great Smoky Mountains Wears valley is located between Pigeon Forge and Townsend, TN.
Pigeon Forge is another one of our favorite holiday places to visit when traveling the Smoky Mountains. Home to the Christmas in the Smokies Bluegrass Fest, a fun family holiday festival with traditional bluegrass and gospel bands, food, lights and lots of good holiday vacation fun. Only a short drive from your stay at the Highland Manor Inn Hotel in Townsend.

Last but certainly not least is the Gatlinburg Trolley Ride of Lights in Downtown Gatlinburg. You can kick back and enjoy the ride and the wonderful display of Holiday Ornaments and lights as you ride by trolley through downtown Gatlinburg.
