Welcome to the Highland Manor Inn – meeting all of your lodging needs in Townsend, TN and the Great Smoky Mountain area. The Highland Manor Inn was built by the owners, Don and Sandy in 1982.
They wanted to be self-employed and the idea of a motel in Townsend, near the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park sounded like a good decision, one that could support their family. 40 years later they are still at it, providing excellent lodging and meeting facilities, meeting and getting to know many, many folks who travel to the Smokies. Guest rooms at the Highland Manor Inn were designed with your comfort in mind and are tastefully decorated. Rooms feature King or Queen beds. Some rooms include sofa sitting areas, and all have refrigerators and microwaves. All rooms have cable TV, room phones and a private balcony or terrace.
Rooms For Special Occasions
For any special occasion, we have rooms featuring private whirlpools and/or wood burning fireplaces in season. Some of the whirlpools are double-sized for two. Some of our rooms have kitchens. Rollaway beds and cribs are available.

Breakfast And Other Accommodations
Continental Breakfast is available for self-service each morning. The Highland Manor Inn Management and staff work to carefully sanitize and disinfect the breakfast tables and the other areas in the Lobby. We ask Guests to be aware of their surroundings and to ‘social distance’ when others are present.
Our Continental Breakfast includes English muffins, boiled eggs, Bagels, cream cheese, peanut butter, jellies, a variety of hot and cold cereals, Danish, varied pastries, homemade muffins, apple & orange juice and coffee and teas, is included. Breakfast is available self-service in the lobby from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. We close on Sunday at 9:30 so we can get to Sunday School and Church.
We have coffee, teas and hot chocolate available any time the office is open (Current Winter Hours 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.). If you have a special need for coffee early in the morning, we have coffee pots we can loan to you to have in your room. Just let us know so we can accommodate you.
We have a lovely outdoor swimming pool with a diving board. On the beautifully landscaped grounds, there are two gazebos for you to enjoy along with the patio at the pool. We also have a playground for the little ones and a kiddie pool.
While you’re staying with us, you’ll also receive free wi-fi service, so you will be able to stay connected while you’re visiting!
