It's finally spring! The flowers are blooming, the fresh air, and the warmth! We cannot be more excited to welcome the fabulous month of April! There are plenty of activities going on in this month for Townsend, and welcome you to come join us! Fiber Arts Festival, Bronco Rally, photography groups coming in and much more for everyone. The mountains are rolling with beautiful bright colors, so if your coming, don't forget your camera!
The fifth annual Smoky Mountain Fiber Arts Festival will be held at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center on April 11 and 12. If you have never been to this festival, it
celebrates: fiber arts, creativity, and the finished product. There will be plenty of activities for children and adults, for instance: spinning, weaving, felting and knitting. Instructors will provide hands on instructions with getting fiber off of an animal or plant. Vendors market place will
be set up during the festival as well. Don't worry ya'll can still purchase your items!
PS- This year a private collection of Betsy Wordens work will be exhibited. Throughout Tennessee she was noted as fiber artist, painter in watercolor, and civic

This event is for all of our nature lovers! For 5 days, April 15-19, a variety of wildflowers will be offered to you in the GSMNP and surrounding areas. The majority of the programs are held outdoors, but there are still a few indoors as well. This event is offering 146 professionally guided walks, and indoor presentations that explore- wildflowers, fauna, ecology, culture, and history! Please click here for further information.
If you have a Bronco, or if you have an interest in Broncos, you might want to read this! Bronco drivers and their staff have planned events for everyone during April 24, 25, 26. You can enjoy the Bronco scenery (dozens on display) or venture out on your own to Dogwood Mall and other Townsend shopping opportunities and attractions, or a drive through Cades Cove. Hey! Don't worry if you don't have a Bronco, your still welcomed! This event is offering "Daily Bronco Cruise" just ask about it at their information table. Scared of having vehicle problems or getting lost? Like the website says, "NEVER in a Bronco," but if luck isn't going your way call (865)-690-0522 and someone will help you out!
